MAF Bursary For Indigent Students in its Continuous Support to the Executive Governor of Enugu State on Education and Human Capital Development.
The Maurice Akueme Foundation is set to disburse bursary funds to indigent students of Udi Local Government Area.
The President/Founder Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme made this announcement months ago while the organization has just announced that the foundation has set March to kick start disbursement.
He said “the MAF Bursary Award has come to stay until people are tired of it.
“It’s going to be an annual affair scheduled to be disbursed every year.
“This year I’m starting off with 100 students who will receive a sum of 20,000 each.
“Disbursement shall be in tranches of 20 or 25 as we will be processing loads of applications at the Head Office of The Maurice Akueme Foundation.
According to the National Coordinator of the foundation Hon Mike CJ Madu(Gburuchi);
“The efforts from the MAF president is in total and continuous support to the executive governor of Enugu state in education sector and human capital development.
“MAF Compliments the efforts of the government of Enugu state under the care of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi especially in the grass root and to the most vulnerable in the society.
Meanwhile the criteria mapped out for prospective beneficiaries states that “beneficiary must be a recognised and registered member of the National Association of Udi Students(NAUS).
Chief Maurice Akueme was on 7th November named the patron of the Udi students wing during the inauguration of its new national executives.
A title which came in recognition and appreciation of his contributions towards student development through scholarships and bursary.
