Tears of Joy as Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme Restores Hope of Fire Incident Victim in His Continuous Support to Gov. Ugwuanyi’s Administration on Emergency Management
The people of Oji River were put to a stand still when Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme came to the rescue of Mrs. Gloria Eze who lost her shop with goods to a fire incident.
Chief Akueme through his MAF Oji River Chapter yesterday restored the hope of Mrs Eze who lost her goods to the fire incident which occurred a couple of weeks ago at Achi in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State.
This is his own way of assisting the government of Gov. Ugwuanyi and Hon. Barr. Frank Udemezue Oji-River Council Chairman in managing emergency cases.
While the team led by Hon. Bona Mbah; Oji River Local Government Director of Operations presented varieties of provision and food stuffs such as noodles, bags of semovita, bags of rice, spaghetti, cash worth of hundred thousand naira and many more, neighbours, passersby and onlookers asked in Achi Native dialect “aka nwere ûdî mmadû a na ûwa nke a” which translates to English as; “does philanthropists of this kind still exist in this world”.
Mrs Eze while expressing satisfaction and joy could not hold her tears, “if not for this man, what would have been of I and my family ? I am the breadwinner of the family and my only source of income was razed down by fire but today my sadness is turned to joy, I will never forget today” she said as she continued to pray for Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme.
Details was made available to MAFNation News by Comr. Chimaobi Okpara from Oji River.
