A popular Non Governmental Organization Maurice Akueme Foundation has honored the Executive Governor of Enugu State Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s 57th birthday by issuing 1 million Naira Bursary to Enugu State indigene students.

The laudable ceremony was held at Bold Loud Dynamic (BLD) Lounge in Uwani Enugu state.

Recall that on Monday 24th March, 2021 the founder/president of Maurice Akueme Foundation through his personal Facebook account announced his intention to celebrate the Executive Governor of Enugu State.

He said he was going to disburse 1 million naira bursary funds to Enugu state students in commemoration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s 57th birthday.

Out of over 1000 students who commented on the post as required by the MAF president, 100 of them were selected randomly cutting across all the 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu state.

The students were expected to wish His Excellency a happy birthday with their details; full name, Local Government Area, Phone number and school, after which they were duly verified.

During the ceremony, selected students from across the 17 Local Govt Areas, different institutions across the country were seen putting on smiles of hope.

The National Coordinator of the foundation, Hon. Mike CJ Madu(Gburuchi) while addressing the students declared the executive Governor of Enugu state as Father Abraham of the 21st century.

He said that the Maurice Akueme Foundation has only come to appreciate the good deeds of his Excellency. He said MAF is not a political organization or party, that it is for the love Chief Maurice Akueme has for Mr. Governor that propelled him to palliate the students.

Chief Maurice(Njikokamma Enugu State) who joined the ceremony via a video chat expressed joy seeing the students looking revived with looks of hope.

He reassured them of his unflinching support to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi especially on Human capital development.

He also assured that his love for Governor Ugwuanyi will always reflect on the students and youth.

The Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Hon. Comrade Johnpaul Anih, graced the occasion.

Present to observe were delegations from the National Council of Enugu state students led by Comr. Onah Joseph Onyemaechi, the National Association of Udi students led by Comr. Onuigbo Christian, Udi Students Traditional Council led by HRM Igwe KCS Igboeli(Igwe Ndo Oha Udi students association UNN) and many others.

This bursary is entirely different from the 2 million naira set out by Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme for Udi students.

Maurice Akueme Foundation Bursary for Udi students according to Chief Maurice will be a yearly bursary to be disbursed to indigent students of Udi local government area starting from 2021.

MAF Bursary for Udi students will commence in the first quarter of 2021.

Udi students are expected to visit the Maurice Akueme Foundation Head Office at No. 96 Zik Avenue to obtain bursary forms for free.

They are also expected to submit form along with the following documents;

Udi local government letter of identification.

Authentic School ID Card/Letter from HOD/Login Details.

Membership of National Association of Udi students.

  2. Maurice Akueme is indeed the man of the people, always looking for an opportunity to put smiles on the face of anyone that comes in contact with MAF. It shall always be well with you and your household. The only Njikokamma 1 in Enugu State, Ezigbo mmadu.
