While addressing the students; the foundation’s National Coordinator Hon. Mike CJ Madu(Gburuchi) advised them not to waste the funds but to make judicious use of them to enable them achieve goals.

He further advised them not to allow the aim of the bursary to be defeated by using the fund to engage their project works, assignments, purchase required materials and books and as well use the fund to support their school fees.

Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme who joined the program via video chat congratulated the beneficiaries;

“I congratulate you all, I feel so joyful seeing smiles on your faces, as you have smiled today, endeavor to also make your sponsors smile by working hard in your academic pursuits.

“I see no reason why students shouldn’t be paid bursary every year.

“I also see no reason why young graduates in the labour market shouldn’t be paid job seekers allowance.

“We have started the bursary project and by the special Grace of God this has come to stay.

“The job seekers allowance is in progress and would be launched in my hometown this month God willing” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the National Executive Council of the National Association of Udi Students(NAUS); the financial secretary Comr. Aniji Wilfred commended Akueme for his good thoughts towards the students especially to those of Udi.

Aniji said “if all men who are well to- do or wealthy can emulate Akueme; the students will have no cause for alarm.

One of the beneficiaries HRM KCS Igboeli the Igwe of Udi students in UNN who also doubles as the South East vice president of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Students Union(ONISU) also commended the efforts of Akueme, he encouraged students to always turn up as not every offer of such poses defraud.
